Summer Garden Party

Very many thanks to all the people who supported The Garden Party at Beck House on Saturday 27 June 2026. It was a happy afternoon with towards 200 attendees, older and younger, many from Austwick and others from the local area. The sun shone, the Prosecco flowed, strawberries and ice creams proved very popular as did the complimentary cup of tea with the afternoon tea plate of sandwiches, scone with strawberry and cream and a chocolate square.

Bunting, gazebos, chairs in sun and in shade added to the relaxation of the afternoon. The 9 musicians, including a harpist, played all afternoon creating the perfect background to the chatter as people caught up with old friends and met new neighbours too. The very young took advantage of the water toys and persuaded parents and grandparents to help them make full use of the ride on toys. 

A produce stall, a craft stall, a cake stall displayed tempting Austwick Produce and the traditional raffle had pride of place under its own gazebo.

And the fundraising – support of the stalls and generous donations raised a substantial sum which has been handed to the Parish Church Council towards the cost of building repairs of the west window of the Church.
