Austwick Amble and Junior Fell Races
The Austwick Amble Fell Race was held in conjunction with the village’s Street Market on Monday 25th May 2026. We once again welcomed runners to this very popular bank holiday event.
Many thanks to all those that took part in the 26th Austwick Amble and the junior races. I hope you all enjoyed the races despite the 30 degree heat which made for very challenging races. This is the hottest it’s been for the Austwick Amble that anyone can remember !
Congratulations to Amble race winners Matt Cardus from Settle Harriers and Helen Smith from Wharfedale Harriers and to all the 124 seniors and 56 juniors that took part.
Many thanks also to our team of marshals and officials who did such a great job putting on the event and looking after the competitors. We had a couple of runners who needed medical attention so thank you also to the ambulance staff and CRO mountain rescue for their expert assistance.
Finally, thanks to Aire Valley Glass and Lekker Wines Ltd for their generous sponsorship of the event.
