CAPTURING THE PAST: OPEN DAY IN AUSTWICK

On Saturday 1 October 2022 we are holding an open morning in Austwick Parish Hall from 10 am to 2 pm for you to bring in your historic documents for us to scan.

We will have a small team at the parish hall ready to scan your document(s) and make notes of any information you have. We can also handle framed pictures and larger documents up to A3 size. This information will then be added to the resources already on the Yorkshire Dales Community Archives website, Capturing the Past website. If it’s a precious document or photo, you won’t have to leave it with us; we’ll copy it on the spot.

This Open Day is for all residents of Austwick village and also Feizor and Wharfe.

Please bring any documents you think may be of interest. They don’t have to be very old; history is being made every day.

Refreshments will be also available.

If you have lots of interesting documents please make special arrangements to meet Graham Cleverly (graham@cleverly.co.uk, tel: 015242 51185) or Janet Millward (jan.millward@btinternet.com, tel: 015242 51603) at a suitable time to suit you. By all means bring them to the Open Day for a quick review.
