The Austwick Tennis Club Annual General meeting was held on Tuesday, 31st January 2006. A new committee was elected and is constituted as follows:

Chairman       Alan Eveleigh

Hon. Secretary        Neale Redfern

Hon. Treasurer          Mark Hewgill.

Committee Members: Sheila Barraclough, Alastair McDougal, Pam Mueller, Ian Plimmer, Arthur Riley (who will share the Treasurer's post until April), Les Robinson, Ruth Rogers, Tracy Rogers, Pam Whitehead and Daphne Wright.

The Traddock Hotel now has a 'rolling' membership. This will allow up to four individuals to play on the same basis as ordinary members. This will cater for staff or guests. Please make them all welcome. The proposed annual dinner has been cancelled but there shall probably hold a Barbeque during the summer months.

The winners of the 2005/2006 Tennis Club Championship Competition  were :

Men's singles  Mark Hewgill.

Ladies' singles - Julie McDougall.

Men's doubles - David Thornton and Les Robinson.

Ladies' doubles - Dot Phillips and Amy Wilson.

Mixed doubles - Alastair and Julie McDougall.

It was particularly pleasing to see Amy Wilson's name as a winner because she is still in her early teens and clearly a very bright prospect.

Similarly, Alastair and Julie are new members and a very welcome addition to our armoury
