The society was formed in December 1998 with the aim of encouraging interest in local history and natural history within the village. A programme of talks and walks is arranged each year.

Notices giving detailed information  are displayed on the Parish Hall Notice Board, in the village shop, and on this Website before each talk or walk with details of time and place.

An illustrated talk by Bill Mitchell.

 

Wednesday March 17th

'Hen Harriers in the Forest of Bowland'

An illustrated talk by Stephen Murphy of

'Natural England'

Tuesday April 20th

'The Victorian Workhouse'

An illustrated talk by Alan Mills.

 

Talks will start at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall.

Walks and visits will start at 6.30pm from the arranged venue
