WLAN.
The standard/original wireless band running at 2.4GHz. This is
the most common band in use although the newer 802.11g bands have superseded
it. Cheap.
The newer 54mbps band running at 2.4GHz. This is the new
standard for wireless communication. Sharing the same band as 802.11b, most new
equipment supports the old standard as well. This is also cheaper than
802.11. Uses the same external antennas as 802.11b.
